OHP releases information on individual killed by Madill tornado

A tornado passed through Madill Wednesday afternoon.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is reportedly working two weather-related fatality accidents following a tornado that passed through Madill Wednesday afternoon.

Marshall County Sheriff Danny Cryer confirmed that a second person was killed by the tornado while in their vehicle. More information was released in a OHP report on one of the fatalities Thursday morning.

According to OHP, 46-year-old Chad Weyant of Madill, was struck by the tornado at around 5:03 p.m. while on the roadway on U.S. 377 and State Highway 99 in Madill city limits.

Weyant was reportedly ejected from his vehicle, a 2012 Smart Car, and found deceased in the median. The vehicle was located in a field.

No further information has been released on the second fatality at this time. This is a developing story. More information will be released as it becomes available.
