Two facing charges for embezzlement
Two Murray County residents are reportedly facing complaints for embezzlement after allegedly falsely obtaining more than $1,000 from their employer.
According to Murray County court documents filed Dec. 31, Gilberto Reyes Gonsalez, 36, of Sulphur and Bobby Lee, 45, of Davis, are both accused of embezzling between $1,000 and $2,500 cash from a Sulphur farm and ranch center where they were employed.
Lee and Gonsalez are believed to have obtained the money “due to their employment” by the county sometime around Dec. 24, according to court documents.
If found guilty, both individuals face no more than two years in the state penitentiary, no more than one year in the county jail and a fine of up to $5,000. A bond of $5,000 is set for both Lee and Gonsalez.
