A Marietta man is facing charges for kidnapping, as well as two counts of assault, one by strangulation and another with a dangerous weapon.

According to Love County court documents, Kenneth Allen Davis, 52, was arrested for all three charges on Jan. 16. Court documents allege that Davis attempted to grab a weight and hit the victim in the head with it.

Davis is also believed to have strangled the victim by pulling a rope out of a robe and attempting to tie it around their neck “in an attempt to cause great bodily harm”. Court documents further state that Davis allegedly confined the victim at a lot at an RV park located off of U.S. Highway 77 against their will.

Davis is currently being held at the Love County Jail for kidnapping, domestic assault and battery by strangulation and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. His bail is set at $50,000 with a no contact order with the victim.
