David Mark Trent

The son of David Madison 'D. M.' Trent and Sybil Fuller Trent, Mark was born on July 12, 1955 in Ardmore, and passed peacefully from this earth on May 7, 2020 at McAlester, Okla.

Mark was baptized as a Christian at the Indian Baptist Church in McAlester. He went to McAlester public schools, graduating from McAlester High School in 1973. Mark attended both the University of Central Oklahoma and Eastern Oklahoma State University.

Mark spent 11 years in Key Largo, Fla., living 50-yards from the ocean and enjoying life in the Florida Keys. Following Hurricane Andrew, he returned to Oklahoma, living at Lone Grove for a time and worked for Hargraves Landscaping. He returned to McAlester in 1995 and worked for Simonton Windows. Mark liked being outdoors and his hobbies included hiking and exploring, geo-caching, collecting old coins, arrowheads and artifacts such as fossils. He also enjoyed reading about history and historical events.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, D. M. Trent and a nephew, Jeffery David Watts. He is survived by his mother, Sybil Trent, sister, Debra Watts and brother-in-law, Johnny.

Cremation-With-Care was provided by the Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home & Crematory, and Mark was laid to rest in Crinerville Cemetery March, 18, 2020.
