Big win for the ladies: Ardmore Lady Tigers win on Senior Night over the Oklahoma City Storm 68-41

The No. 3 ranked Ardmore Lady Tigers (19-3) closed out their regular season home schedule Tuesday with a 68- 41 win over the Oklahoma City Storm.

The Tigers came out strong in the first quarter lead by senior guard Miyah McGee, who started the game on fire. McGee finished the game with 8 points while proving insurmountable on the defensive end of the court.

Reagan McCurley finished the game 15 points. Senior Amaya Gordon led all Tigers in scoring with 16 points. Gordon was also busy up and down the court Tuesday with rebounding and putting pressure on the Storm’s Madison Callahan who fouled out of the game with 10 points.

Tiona Cohee added 12 points for the Tigers while junior guard Shakira Smith kept the offense moving, adding 5 points on the night. Sophomore Khalayah Willis had a standout night adding 10 points to the mix, including some key 3-pointers in the second half.

Coach Debra Manley said the entire team played well on the night with a total of 4 players finishing in double figures.

The Tigers managed to keep their turnovers number down for the night while shooting 70% from the free throw line.

The Tigers reserves also pitched in by adding 12 points to the final score.Next Friday, the Lady Tigers will travel to Lawton Mac for their final regular season matchup.

The Regional pairing will have the Tiger hosting their first and second round home against Western Heights Jets on Feb. 27.

The Ardmore boys lost 50-34 Tuesday against the Oklahoma Storm. Daylan WIlliams lead the Tigers with 8 points, Anthony Jones added 6, DeDe Coleman added 5 and Dion Brown finished with 4. Elijah Franks, Dahiee Scott and Caleb Tolbert all finished with 3 points each.
