Dickson boys fall at Comanche; Springer Cardinals win 10th game of season

After ending the weekend on a high note with a victory at the Byng Winter Classic, the Dickson Comets got a less than pleasant reception on Tuesday night at Comanche.

Dickson fell to 5-10 overall on the season with a 55-39 defeat at the hands of the Indians on the road.

The Comets opened the game strong with a 14-7 run in the first quarter before a 21-6 run in the second quarter put the Indians in front 28-20 going to the break.

Comanche went on a 13-8 run in the third quarter before finishing the game on a 14-11 run.

Cason Dollar had 12 points for the Comets to lead the scoring, with Johnny Smith scoring 10 points and Charvis Wright scoring seven points. 

Springer 62 Paoli 38 

The Springer Cardinals got their 10th victory of the season with a comfortable contest against the Paoli Pugs Tuesday night at Walker Gymnasium.

Springer opened the game with a 15-8 run in the first quarter, before leading 26-18 going to the break.

The Cardinals put the game out of reach with a 23-8 third quarter run, before outscoring the Pugs 13-12 in the fourth quarter. 

Malik Brown led the Cardinals with 22 points with Mickey Hunnicutt scoring 18 points.
