Funeral services for Walter Carson Sampley are scheduled for Monday, February 6th at 2:00 p.m at the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Dean Ferguson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Craddock Funeral Home.

Walter Carson Sampley was born October 10, 1936 to Jewel (Carson) and John E. Sampley in Ardmore, OK. He passed from this life on January 29, 2023 at the age of 86.

Walter was a graduate of Gene Autry High School in the class of 1954. Upon graduation he enrolled at Southeastern University where he received a Bachelors degree in accounting. On February 26, 1971 he married Josie Camp at the Lake Murray Chapel. From this marriage they had two boys, Chris and Jason. Walter worked at Hulme Rahhal Henderson CPA until his retirement. He and Josie volunteered at Mercy Hospital in their later years.

Walter was a man who loved share stories. He also enjoyed taking road trips to Gene Autry to see the area he grew up. Walter was loved by many and will be sorely missed.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents John and Jewel Sampley.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Josie Sampley of the home; son Chris Sampley and his fiancé Misty Brock of Ardmore and Jason Sampley and his wife Micia of Ardmore; sister Alice Louise Moore of Denison, TX; granddaughters Jalee Sampley and Paislee Sampley; niece Debie Tipton of Caney, OK; and nephew Jeff Moore of Almeda, CA.

Jerry Coffey, Eddie Muncrief, Richard Geurin, Arnold Muncrief, Dylan Brock, and Kolton Tipton will serve as pallbearers. Online condolences can be made at www.craddockfuneralhome.com
