Funeral services for Wayne Dobbs, 84, will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lone Grove First Baptist Church with Reverend Bill Black officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Grove Cemetery with the assistance of David Gilley, Chris and Nathan Dobbs, Brent Wallace, James Gibbs and Thurman Rail. A time of visitation and support for the family will be held Friday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Ardmore. The son of the late Forrest Boone and Martha Pearl Suggs Dobbs, Wayne was born in Love County on July 18, 1938 and went to be with is Lord and Savior on September 5, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family. Wayne graduated from Lone Grove High School, class of 1956. He married the former Rosetta Diemer on September 3, 1959 and she preceded him in death on July 13, 2008. He later married Neta Faye Carter Cargel. He worked for the Noble Foundation as their Livestock Specialist until his retirement after 34 years. He enjoyed doing crafts, especially woodworking, with his wife Rosetta. He was member of the Lone Grove First Baptist Church. Wayne is survived by his wife Neta; daughter Janet Gilley and her husband David; son Donald Dobbs and wife Donna; grandchildren, Jennifer Brown, Chris Dobbs and wife Kara; Sarah Gibbs and husband James; Grady Dobbs; Jamie Wallace and husband Brent; great grandchildren, Nathan, Matthew, Brianna, Samantha, Jocelyn, Maddison and Zaylie. Along with his parents, first wife Rosetta he was also preceded in death by his brother Dewan Dobbs.
